Dodgers’ Corey Seager held out of workout

Manager Dave Roberts said Seager was receiving treatment and was considered day to day. Roberts said he was not concerned about Seager’s availability for Game 1 of the National League Championship Series presented by Camping World on Saturday.

Enrique Hernandez, Chris Taylor and Charlie Culberson were taking ground balls at shortstop during infield practice.

“We just felt it was better to keep him inside and getting treatment, and he can also rest his elbow,” Roberts said, referring to the right elbow injury that has plagued Seager since late August and could require offseason surgery.

Also not participating in the workout was catcher Yasmani Grandal, who flew home to Arizona to be with his pregnant wife. Roberts said Grandal was expected to return to Los Angeles in time for Friday’s workout.
